letsdrawhannibal:

Let’s Draw Hannibal Fan ProjectHow does it work? Well:
Every month, a theme is chosen and screencaps from the NBC TV series will be posted. Artists have until the end of the month to create art based on the screencap (it doesn’t have to be an exact copy of the screencap, it can be an interpretation, as long as you can tell that it is inspired from the screencap).
Artists create drawings and submit to the blog for posting by the due date.
After the end of the month, artworks will slowly be posted to the blog.
Submissions can either be made as a post to the blog itself, or you can send in a link to your post be reblogged to the blog.
Anyone can take part as long as you submit the drawing before the monthly deadline (last day of each month). It doesn’t matter what skill level or style you are at, the idea is to promote NBC Hannibal fanart and to enjoy the fandom’s diverse creativity!
BUT FIRST support is crucial. Please reblog and share this post about this project to promote the project because the more people involved, the more fun this will turn out!
Also, it will be very help if you guys could answer some questions in this post for some feedback on how this blog will be run.
Look forward to lovely artworks!

20 seconds of courage: Dear NBC, Dear Hannibal fandom

starkiness:

I know no one from the firm or anyone is connection with NBC is going to read this, but I feel like I need to write this down. I’m writing concerning Hannibal.

Every friday morning I look out for online links to watch the latest Hannibal episode. I do not live in America, and it’s no airing here so I will need to do this via ‘illegal ways’. I always look out for fridays because of Hannibal. I enjoy watching a bunch of psychopaths, solving crimes that are most likely performed by just one person.

Now, it’s been said in the last couple of weeks that the rating numbers are poor, and today I read and article, episode 8 might be the last episode ever because renewal might be out of the question. The person who is holding it back for a renewal, might be making the biggest mistake ever.

The TV ratings you get, the ratings in America, are not even close to the ratings on the internet. You see, I have tumblr: I follow 153 blogs and more than the half watches Hannibal. I do not think something big as Hannibal has happened before (as far as I can remember when it comes to new television shows). Every day people spend hours on making gifsets, edits and art dedicated to this show, because we love it.

I do have to admit, the first episode threw me off guard because I did not know what to expect. Though, it threw me off guards, I kept watching it. Through every new episode I just loved it more and more, and I keep rooting for Hannibal. The last couple of weeks I’ve been singing petitions to keep Hannibal on television and I ‘harass’ people to watch it, because it is that good and everyone should watch it!

Also, Mads Mikkelsen presenting Hannibal and Hugh Dancy as Will Graham is one hell of a combination; it’s golden. All the other characters just make this tv series as it should be.

The only reason I can think of, concerning the low Hannibal ratings, is because Hannibal isn’t a normal television show; it is art. And as you know, art is never truly and fully understood until you get into it, until you get to appreciate it.

I would be really disappointed if Hannibal is cut loose by NBC or doesn’t get renewed. It’s such a nice piece of work and you have to thank Bryan Fuller for that. He is nevertheless the genius behind Hannibal.

Look around you NBC. Just because the ratings are poor, does not mean the series is bad. You have a lot of loyal fans and we will keep trying to get Hannibal renewed. We won’t quit.

With kind regards,
A really concerned girl, loyal fan to Hannibal. Please, give it another chance.

P.S. Everyone from America, that is following me, please tune in upcoming thursday for the, might be, latest Hannibal episode as I cannot watch it LIVE. Show NBC what we are made of.

Calling all Hannibal fans!!!

elizabrontosaurus:

Right now, NBC is deciding whether to cancel Hannibal or to renew it for a second season. If you like Hannibal and don’t want to see it cancelled, please reblog this to spread word about the show! Also, tell your friends to watch it so its ratings increase! Thanks, everybody!
